We understand that arriving at a doctor’s office for the first time can be nerve racking. Filling out paperwork, learning new faces and names, and getting to know your way around the office can be an overwhelming experience.
Our aim is to remove any stressor causing unnecessary tension and to make you feel comfortable. In this area of the website you will be able to take care of items necessary for your visit prior to arriving, in the comfort of your own home. You are also able to read some general information what to expect from your first visit as well review some of the frequently asked questions along with explanation of how chiropractic care can help you with specific conditions.
What Can I Expect On My First Visit?
Welcome to our office! You will be greeted by our friendly staff and given some initial paperwork to fill out about yourself, your current complaint, and your past medical history.
Next you will then be seen by the doctor. He will discuss with you the history of your complaint to understand your symptoms and how they are affecting your life. The doctor will perform the necessary orthopedic, neurologic and functional examinations to better specify the cause of your condition. X-rays might be taken if they are necessary.
The doctor will review the above information and design a personalized treatment plan using current research and treatment guidelines for your condition to achieve the quickest and longest lasting results.
Throughout the treatment, you will be given information about your condition and specific instructions to perform at home such as proper biomechanics, ice/heat therapy, exercises, posture correction, ergonomic changes, etc. The more you understand your problem, the more empowered you are to better take care of yourself.
